Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution which can have a beneficial impact, not only on any financial resolution, but also on the participants being able to move forward in a more positive relationship with each other. This can be of particular benefit where a dispute arises between neighbours or between an employer and employee, for example.
Litigation is an expensive and time-consuming process which, whilst ultimately resolving a dispute, always results in there being a winner and a loser and is unlikely to improve any relationship between the parties. It is fast becoming a requirement by the courts that parties to litigation enter into some form of alternative dispute resolution which can not only keep costs down but can also end with both parties feeling that they have achieved something from going through the process.
Mediation can take place either by video link or face-to-face, whichever is preferred by the participants, and we apply our understanding and experience of legal issues to the mediation process, thereby assisting in achieving resolutions without the need to proceed through the courts.

Each mediation is individually priced, depending on the complexity and value of the case, with fees payable in advance and shared between the participants.
